Happy Birthday Dad :)
This is a drawing that my Father did before I was born and then he framed it and gave it to me as a gift when I was older. I've kept this image close to me and it always reminds me of how talented my parents and grandparents are. I remember painting my own version of a theme park on my wall as a kid and painting in the front yard with my cousin. I also remember falling asleep to my fathers electric guitar as he played in the other room with his headphones on. I don't think he knew I could hear him, but it put me to sleep every night. My Father taught me more of my audio knowledge than he even knows. As a little kid, being around the orchestra and setting up microphones, soundboards, and all of the wiring, later on it has helped me in the video world, because as you probably know audio is just as important as video is in order to give the video life. When I edit video the first thing I do is edit the audio to make sure there are no errors and then I lay over the video. Some people do the complete opposite, it mostly depends on what type of project it is. But either way, audio is a huge part of being a video editor and I'm glad I got to experience/learn it as a little kid.
Happy Birthday Dad.Love,Nick
