Relieving

Facebookdown

To some this is a disastrous thing to see when you go to login to Facebook. To me it's relieving. Everyone can take a break from Facebook living. Enjoy it, go outside, relax in the park, connect with the real world without posting a picture to Facebook. (Yes, I'm as guilty as everyone else, but every once in a while it's great to leave my phone alone and enjoy the moment without recording it) - :)

I made the decision to spend more time with my kids instead of waste time on FB. I think it really hit home to a lot of people how hooked they are. We could all be a lot more productive/creative/attentive to people around us without online networking.

P.S.: Looking forward to Diaspora and Pic-Nic Village :-)

@Marq You're exactly right. I check Facebook maybe once every 2 days. It's really become a database of people you've met but don't really contact on a daily basis. It's great to have the availability but it's not a necessity.
