Nicholas, I used to work in a pretty intense creative design for business communications, but, your work go so far beyond that. This is a wonderful site and the creativity of what you have shared is an honor. Stephen
My pleasure. When I was working - before this 6 year battle with cancer - actually, I only just stopped working while we fight off another form of cancer, I had to bring creativity in to telling a story through what are called General Sessions, at conventions. That is when everyone is there to hear guest speakers, the top brass, and so on speak. My team designed a theme, the sets, the lighting and audio design and so on. Also, there was almost always a very big name for the evening concert. I always like to have two stages in one room, but the one for the concert is totally concealed by fake walls. They know something is up for the equipment I use when producing a concert is massive, but, most of the time they would think it was left over from another convention.
I had some of the best graphic artists, video directors, cameramen/women, and lighting and sound directors. And, really solid associate producers.
So, I got to learn a lot. For my clients I was the commodity they were buying, but my biggest talent was bringing in the right talent for the right project.
I miss that. So, when I saw your site, I was looking at the designs and while you may not have had stories to them - maybe seen something, kind of cool, then just as an inspiration, make something that totally is great. I am a strong believers that many of us are story tellers and whether or not you intended it, I can make stories out of some of the really great work on the site.
Stephen, I just saw your comment. Thanks, it means a lot. I hope everything is okay with the cancer. Do you have any of your work online? or photos of the stages? I need to post more work, been slacking lately.
