Television Viewers Are Renters - Web Users Are Owners
I just read this article that I'm mentioned in and it makes a lot of sense. I send out links to my favorite videos, art, website design, tutorials, architecture, etc. I started using twitter in the beginning of 2008. Even though 95% of the content I send out isn't mine I feel like it should be viewed because of the high quality of work created by other artists around the world. In the end I hope that the actual artist(s) get the credit they deserve rather than businesses. That's why I link directly to their portfolios. I've had a few artists email me to thank me because I actually helped them get freelance jobs from me posting their great work on twitter. Great art/video/design needs to be enjoyed and shared. I'm all about sharing and I'm glad others are interested in my personal favorites that I post. I enjoy the back and forth between all of you.
